Lawyer Overview
Ken Fuller, long-time name partner of the law firm, is one of Texas' most honored family lawyers. He received the John Scurlock Award from the State Bar of Texas for aiding the poor.
He is a recipient of the coveted Sam Emison Award for meritorious service to family law, and recently he had an award for pro bono services named after him.
He has also been inducted into the Hall of Legends by the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. The last three years, he has been selected as a Texas Super Lawyer and featured in Texas Monthly magazine. And he was named the Dallas Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year for his service to the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program.
Consistently named among the nation's top attorneys in The Best Lawyers In America, Mr. Fuller is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a former member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and a past Chairman of the Texas Family Law Council.
For the past decade, he has been a member of the Board of Legal Specialization's Family Law Exam Commission, which writes and grades the certification test for prospective family law specialists.
Over the years, as a member of the Texas Supreme Court Advisory Committee for Revision of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, Mr. Fuller has dealt with such issues as the sealing of court records, the permitting of cameras in courtrooms and procedures for family law jury trials.
Born July 27, 1932 in Russellville, Alabama, he graduated from the University of North Texas (B.A., 1954) and Southern Methodist University School of Law (J.D., 1962). He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserves.
He and his wife live in Dallas. Their son and daughter-in-law, Kevin R. Fuller and Sharla Fuller, are attorneys with the firm.
