Mert Gollaher is a member of both the Business Practice and Health Care Departments at Wiggin and Dana. His practice includes business transactions, especially mergers and acquisitions, financings, joint ventures and technology transfer matters. The fastest growing portion of Mert's practice is on counseling biotechnology companies in connection with licensing arrangements, R&D agreements, strategic alliances and similar matters. Mert devotes a substantial portion of his practice to counseling emerging growth companies in the biotechnology and life sciences industry.

Mert also maintains a significant practice in the area of business transactions for health care providers, including provider joint ventures, mergers and affiliations of hospitals, health systems and other providers, provider and physician practice acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations.

For seven years before joining Wiggin and Dana, Mert was a research scientist engaged in molecular genetics and protein chemistry and the application of computer-based imaging systems to these disciplines.

Mert received his B.A. from Amherst College in 1984, where he majored in Chemistry, and his J.D., with high honors from the University Of Connecticut School Of Law in 1991, where he was a member of the Connecticut Law Review.
