Since Gill and Baldwin, P.C. was founded in 1962, the focus of the firm has been on construction matters. Gill and Baldwin, P.C. has represented heavy engineering contractors, general engineering contractors, General building contractors, subcontractors and construction material suppliers. The firm has also represented owners in disputes with contractors.

Gill and Baldwin, P.C. has practiced before state and federal courts, contract appeals boards of various federal agencies, administrative boards of state and federal agencies and in arbitration and mediation proceedings. The firm is AV rated.

On a daily basis the firm deals with breaches of contract, claims for additional compensation, extra work, delay, impact, offsets and backcharges, mechanic's liens, stop notices, bond claims and bid protests.

Gill and Baldwin, P.C. has considerable experience in handling and managing large construction project litigation, has developed sophisticated computerized litigation support capability in-house, and has developed a network of experts including those in claims, scheduling and accounting.

Although the firm handles large litigation matters, the majority of clients bring small to moderate sized problems. The philosophy of the firm is to assign each matter to the attorney who is best qualified to handle it. This provides the client with excellent representation while keeping costs fair, realistic and to a minimum.

Gill and Baldwin, P.C. also acts as private mediators or arbitrators for those attorneys and their clients who want to employ neutrals experienced in construction and construction law.
