Mr. Moreno is admitted to practice law in the courts of the State of New York and in the federal courts. Mr. Moreno has represented clients before immigration judges in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, and Kansas.

Mr. Moreno has handled several high profile human rights and immigration cases and has represented clients all over the world including Italy, France, Brazil, Chile and Panama. Mr. Moreno is the only attorney in the United States to have filed a request for the extradition of Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet to the United States for the murders of Charles Horman and Frank Teruggi, two Americans killed in Chile in the days following the coup staged by Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet. The case of these two Americans was made into the motion picture Missing, starring Jack Lemon and Sissy Spacek. This petition was filed with the U.S. Department of Justice while Janet Reno was attorney general of the United States.

Carlos Moreno has also represented clients in the US District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Eastern districts of New York. He has represented clients in drug cases, including cases where defendants have been extradited from other countries into the US.

Mr. Moreno has an impressive track record in handling deportation cases involving people detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement(ICE) throughout the United States.

Mr. Moreno's writings on legal issues have appeared in The National Law Journal, The New York Times, The Daily News, The New York Post, New York Newsday, The Chicago Sun Times and El Diario La Prensa where he wrote a series of articles about human right violations in Chile. Mr. Moreno has also appeared in TV and radio programs where he has dealt with legal issues involving immigration, criminal and human right issues.
