Michael Jacobus has been with the firm since his graduation from law school in 1998, and is now a partner with Novins, York & Jacobus. Michael was born and raised in Toms River and is a graduate of Toms River High School North. Michael attended the University of Delaware and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, as well as a member of the university rowing team. Michael then pursued his law degree at Widner University School of Law. Today, his practice addresses many areas, with a primary focus upon estate litigation, real estate, business and corporate transaction, landlord-tenant, estate planning and general litigation.

Michael is admitted to the New Jersey State Court and United States District Court, District of New Jersey. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, Ocean County Bar Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, a member of the statewide roster of Mediators as a Rule 1:40 Qualified Mediator for Civil, General Equity and Probate cases, member of the Guardianship Association of New Jersey, and is a Rule 4:21A-2 Qualified Commercial Arbitrator.

Michael is a Board Member of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Ocean County and the Toms River Youth Soccer Club, where he also coaches two teams. Michael lives in Toms River with his wife Dawn and two children Michael and Kira.
