Dean & Gibson is experienced in handling a wide variety of litigation. Our attorneys provide assistance for numerous insurance carriers, corporate clients, and municipalities. We are experienced in all aspects of case handling including case evaluation, coverage analysis, Alternative Dispute Resolution, trials, and appeals. The firm is often selected for defense of complex and high risk cases. Our size and experience allow for the close relationship required in successfully handling such cases. We also handle routine litigation matters, with the exception of workers' compensation.

The firm's areas of litigation practice include general insurance defense, professional malpractice defense (medical, legal, engineering, and accounting), products liability, transportation, fire, first party defense, insurance fraud, construction, bankruptcy, and subrogation. The firm has two licensed pilots who are experienced in aviation law, including aviation insurance defense and representation of pilots and aviation facilities in certificate actions.

Members of the firm have provided numerous lectures and training programs for insurance companies, industry associations, and bar groups. The firm publishes and updates The North Carolina Claims Manager's Guide, (previously known as The Claims Manager's Guide to North Carolina Litigation Law ), which is the only comprehensive text of its kind covering North Carolina insurance law. This publication is made available free of charge to the firm's clients.
