Ms. White is a partner in the Commercial Litigation Department and Chair of the Business Insurance Practice Group. She has a broad range of experience in complex insurance coverage, bad faith and commercial litigation.
Ms. White represents major property and casualty insurers and smaller regional insurance companies on a national and regional basis. Her practice includes representation in state and federal court, as well as significant experience in private arbitrations. She has handled coverage and bad faith cases involving complex and emerging issues, including construction defect, intellectual property, antitrust, ERISA, successor liability, educator's legal liability and professional liability.
Ms. White has provided substantial service to the insurance industry. She now serves as Vice President of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, and has served as Chair of their Insurance Coverage and Life, Health & Disability Sections. She is also the current Dean of Curriculum of their Litigation Management College, held yearly at Northwestern University. She has published and lectured extensively on insurance and related issues. In 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, Ms. White was selected in a survey of her peers as a Pennsylvania "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics magazine. Also, in 2007, she was named one of the "Top 50 Female Lawyers in Pennsylvania" by Law & Politics magazine. Ms. White has been AV rated by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating system.
Ms. White is also Dean of Coverage College®, a firm-sponsored annual event which brings together 400 insurance professionals to discuss emerging issues and trends in the insurance industry.
Ms. White received her B.S. in 1973 from Cornell University and her M.S. in 1978 from Drexel University. She received her J.D., cum laude, in 1986 from Wake Forest University School of Law. Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Ms. White is also admitted to appear before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, Supreme Court of New Jersey, United States District for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Ms. White is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, and the Philadelphia Bar Association.
