  • Ongoing representation of major Hawaii bank in documenting and restructuring various real property loans
  • Represented consortium of banks in due diligence and securing interests in more than 50 separate properties in a $160 million financing
  • Served as local counsel for lenders in $750 million credit facility

1031 Exchanges

  • Represented major Hawaiian landowner in several large 1031 exchanges. Replacement properties consisted of office buildings, shopping centers, industrial parks and hotels
  • Represented family trusts in negotiation and documentation of a combination ground lease / 1031 exchange of Honolulu property for development as a shopping center, office tower and residential condominium and in the acquisition of mainland shopping center and industrial warehouse as replacement properties

Development

  • Represented developer in high rise residential projects within the Kakaako Special Design District
  • Represented developer of industrial parks in Hawaii and California; dealt with wetlands issues and improvement district bond financing
  • Represented developer of golf course and industrial park in California
  • Represented developer of affordable housing projects

Shopping Centers

  • Represented shopping center owner in leasing, ongoing operations, refinancing, and sale of shopping center
  • Developed lease forms for in-line tenants at three major shopping centers

Golf Course

  • Represent client in acquisition of a new golf course, construction of a club house and development of a gated residential community
  • Represented buyer in acquisitions of four mainland golf courses

Land Use

  • Land Use Represented several Hawaii property owners on land use issues
