Lawyer Overview

Bert J. Capone is one of the founding partners of Cetrulo & Capone LLP.

Mr. Capone concentrates his law practice in the area of surety law and construction representing a majority of the major surety companies. He also represents general contractors, subcontractors, and real estate developers in construction related matters. He has been primary trial counsel in numerous surety, construction and construction defect cases ranging from contractor defaults to defective construction performance. He has extensive experience with project defaults and contractor workouts both in the public and private sector.

In addition to his current practice concentration, he has represented many insurers in a variety of specialty insurance lines including extra contractual liability, excess, product liability, environmental, professional malpractice, fidelity and financial institution bonds. Mr. Capone's practice has also led him to litigation representation of various corporations and individuals.

Mr. Capone began his legal career at the Massachusetts Public Defenders where he tried hundreds of criminal cases.

He has published articles at various seminars including those presented by the American Bar Association and the International Association of Insurance Counsel.
