David Abney, who holds seven earned university degrees, including the prestigious Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), and is likely the most educated attorney in the nation.  Mr. Abney has been an active member of the Arizona State Bar since 1983, and was later admitted to the bar associations of California, Illinois, and the District of Columbia.  From 1987 to 1988, and from 1993 to 1995, Mr. Abney was law clerk and special assistant to Chief Justice Stanley Feldman of the Arizona Supreme Court.

            Mr. Abney served his nation as a Russian linguist in the United States Navy from 1974 to 1979, and as a Lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG) from 1983 to 1986.  For his exemplary service in JAG, Mr. Abney was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal.  Mr. Abney speaks Spanish and Russian to a reasonable level of professional competence.  Mr. Abney received the 2005 Top Pro Bono Lawyer award from the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education. He has also received a Family Law award from the Volunteer Lawyer's Program, and a Certificate of Recognition from the East Valley Bar Association.

            Mr. Abney specializes in personal injury, wrongful death, insurance, and appellate cases, is the author of a two-volume work on Arizona law, and has written 37 legal articles, which have appeared in such prestigious publications as the Notre Dame Law Review, the American Journal of Trial Advocacy, the Temple Law Review, the Massachusetts Law Review, the Arizona State Law Journal, and the University of Arizona Law Review.  Finally, Mr. Abney has won high-value cases for wrongful death and personal injury clients, and has helped change the law of the State of Arizona through a  huge number of landmark appellate victories.
