Art Cavataro grew up in Rye, New York. He received his Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta. He then embarked on a career in finance before deciding that he could better serve people as a lawyer. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University Law School in New Orleans in 1989 and was admitted to the Florida Bar the same year. At that time he and his family moved to the Palm Beaches where he has enjoyed considerable success as a trial attorney.
