Michael Bowen is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP and is a member of the Distribution & Franchise and Appellate Practices. He concentrates on commercial litigation and arbitration at both the trial and appellate levels. Dealer and distributor disputes play an important role in his practice. He is co-author of The Wisconsin Fair Dealership Law (Wisconsin State Bar, Third Edition 2003). Other key practice areas include lender liability, constitutional challenges to land use regulation, and original appellate work.

Mr. Bowen is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and the Chambers USA Guide to America's Leading Lawyers for Business. He has also been selected for inclusion in the 2005 through 2009 Wisconsin Super Lawyers lists for his business litigation work.

Mr. Bowen received his bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, from Rockhurst College in 1973 and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1976. He was a member of the Harvard Law Review (1975-76), and author of "Note: Discovery in Patent Interferences" for the Review. Mr. Bowen also is an accomplished novelist, having published 14 such works since 1987.

He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Bars of numerous federal courts, including the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth, Seventh, Eighth and Tenth Circuits.
