Lawyer Overview

Jeff Kirzner represents corporate clients and public entities in complex litigation before state and federal courts as well as in mediations, arbitrations, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Jeff is a member of Jones Day's national and international construction practice team, and he has extensive experience in construction litigation, prelitigation claims and disputes, disputes review boards, negotiating and drafting construction contracts, public procurements and bid protests, litigation under the state and federal false claims acts, and entitlement issues. Jeff's practice at both the trial and appellate levels also involves other business litigation, including the defense of class actions, labor and employment matters, and unfair competition. Jeff has advised and represented clients in a wide range of businesses, including health care, finance, transportation, manufacturing, retail and media; and he has considerable experience representing public entities, including the Orange County Transportation Authority, the County of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the County of San Bernardino, the San Bernardino County Flood Control District, and the Orange County Fair.

Jeff regularly participates in seminars and workshops regarding depositions, discovery/e-discovery, advocacy, and trial techniques and speaks on matters of interest to the construction industry. Jeff is a member of the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, the Federal Bar Association, and the Orange County Bar Association.
