Lawyer Overview
Dinetia Newman is a partner in the Health Law Practice Group and the Business Section in the Jackson Office. Her practice involves representation of providers and suppliers including hospitals and health systems, physicians, ambulatory surgical centers and other Medicare Part B suppliers on a variety of operational and transactional matters involving Medicare and Medicaid payment, Anti-kickback Act, Stark Law, EMTALA, HIPAA privacy and security compliance, state law licensure and Certificate of Need issues, contractual negotiations between and among providers and suppliers, establishing and representing managed care organizations and counseling clients through investigations by federal and state agencies.
In addition to practicing law, Dinetia taught as adjunct professor in health law during the 1994 and 1997 summer sessions at the University of Mississippi School of Law.
