Lawyer Overview

Ross Stromberg has practiced health and hospital law exclusively since 1965 and has had extensive practice on a national basis representing health systems, hospitals, physician groups, academic medical centers, managed care organizations, and others in the health care field. His practice includes corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, integrated delivery system development, hospital/physician integration, managed care, and health care-related technology. Representative clients include Sutter Health, Capital BlueCross, Loma Linda Medical Center, Caremark Rx, and Ophthalmic Mutual Insurance Company.

He is a member of the State Bar of California, The Bar Association of San Francisco, the American Health Lawyers Association (past president), and the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys (founding director). Ross is Chair of the Board of Sutter Medical Center Santa Rosa and the Pediatric Dental Initiative of the North Coast. He is also past Chair and current Board member of the Wildflowers Institute. In addition, he is a member of the editorial Boards of Integrated Health Care Report, Medical Staff Strategy Report, and Hospital Strategy Report. He is a frequent author and lecturer on health and hospital law and has coauthored several books, Joint Ventures for Hospitals and Physicians: Legal Considerations, 1986, and Acquiring and Enhancing Physician Practices, 1988, both published by the American Hospital Publishing Company.

Ross has been recognized for inclusion in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in Law, and The Best Lawyers in America. He was named as one of the "leaders in their field" in the 2007 edition of Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business and was selected for Nightingale's Healthcare News' 2007 list of "Outstanding Healthcare Transaction Lawyers" in their November issue.
