Certification as a civil or criminal trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy is difficult to achieve. Judicial and Attorney endorsement, a lengthy track record of successful trial experience, and the highest ethical standards must be established before the extensive written examination is attempted. Certification is valid for five years, and expires unless resertification occurs. Bill Aldred is one of the very few attorneys in the state with dual certification as both a Civil and Criminal trial specialist, having been repeatedly recertified. Attorney Bill Aldred and Allan Thompson have 40 + years successful experience with civil and criminal cases in state and federal court. Bill Aldred has 28 years of active / reserve military law experience having earned the rank of colonel in the JAGC, USAR, assigned to USALSA Washington D.C. In addition to serving 25 years as a youth sports coach in Clarksville , Bill is a Life Member of the National Eagle Scout Association. Allan Thompson is a Clarksville native, and former employee of the city of Clarksville .
