Person or Thing -- In Search of the Legal Status of A Fetus: A Survey of North Carolina Law, 17 Campbell L. Rev. 169, Spring 1995 (cited by N.C. Court of Appeals in recognizing a cause of action for wrongful conception/pregnancy in McAllister v. Khie Sem HA, 126 N.C. App. 326 (1997), also cited in several law review articles and by the Alabama Supreme Court.
APPELLATE DECISIONS AND CITATIONS TO MY WORK BY COURTS AND OTHERS:
Jeffrey v. Snappy Car Rental, Inc., 128 N.C.App. 171 (1997): this case "made law" and was important in determining an area of the law that had produced a great deal of litigation with regard to insurance coverage. The court ruled in favor of our client.
Benavides v. Summit Structures, Inc., et al., 118 N.C.App. 645; 456 S.E.2d 339 (1995): this workers' compensation case helped clarify the law in several areas. The court ruled in favor of our client.
Allred v. Capital Area Soccer League, et al., 669 S.E.2d 777; 2008 N.C.App LEXIS 2265, January 14, 2008: this case was the first of its kind to be considered by the appellate courts and dealt with the issue of stadium liability for a serious head injury to a patron. The court ruled in favor of our client.
