In addition to the practice of law, she served for many years as an adjunct professor with the Willamette University College of Law, where she taught the course in Employment Law. She is admitted to practice before the federal District Court in Oregon, the Eastern District of Washington, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the US Supreme Court.
She is an active member of the American Bar Association and the Oregon and Washington State Bars. In 1999, Corbett argued and won a case arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) before the United States Supreme Court. In a unanimous 9-0 decision overturning the decision from the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the Supreme Court found for the petitioner, whom Corbett had represented through the entire proceeding Albertsons, Inc. v. Kirkingburg, 119 S. Ct. 2162, 527 U.S. 555 (June 22, 1999). The case was one of the trilogy (including Sutton and Murphy) from the 1998 -1999 term clarifying the application of the ADA. She is listed in Chambers USA, Employment: Defendant since 2003, and in Best Lawyers in America since 2001.
