Powell, Trachtman, Logan, Carrle & Lombardo, P.C. is a full service law firm that represents businesses and business people. The firm was formed in 1988 by attorneys who believe that the accepted model of what law firms do and how they do it needed to be re-engineered, for the simple reason that legal services as they were typically delivered were not consistently adding value to the business clients being served.

In particular, Powell Trachtman maintains the belief that the majority of business clients have not been well-served by the consolidation of law firms into international mega-firms which focus primarily on the specialized needs of major, international companies. Lawsuit Avoidance Training and Consulting:

Lawsuits can take many years, lots of money, and lots of wasted business time to resolve. Powell Trachtman has made the prevention, and not just the resolution, of lawsuits a hallmark of our firm. We have published extensively on the subject of preventive law, we have designed forms and procedures on which companies can rely to stay out of legal trouble, and we have lectured on these topics to lawyers and trade groups throughout the country. We provide legal audits" to identify potential problem areas that would benefit from a "preventive law" analysis; we provide customized training to managers and executives in the art of preventing potential lawsuits and liabilities; and we design and implement business-friendly forms and procedures that put claims avoidance concepts into real world practice.

We do not confine our prevention efforts to the standardized methods embodied in the practice of law. In addition, we have formed a "preventive law" training and consulting firm -- Counsel Consulting Group LLC -- to help businesses avoid employment practices lawsuits, such as claims based on sexual harassment, the ADA, the FMLA, overtime violations, discrimination, and so on.
