Lawyer Overview
Larry Leggett is Of Counsel in the Seattle Office of Williams Kastner where his practice concentrates on real estate litigation. His clients include title insurance companies, their insureds, escrow agents and officers, and real estate agents.
Mr. Leggett has broad experience with real estate matters. Prior to joining Williams Kastner, Mr. Leggett was a Claims Counsel for a national title insurer and real estate services company, and in private practice, he represented title insurance companies, their insureds, escrow officers and realtors. Mr. Leggett also represented a major national railroad and its subsidiaries, successfully defending property ownership and use disputes, premises liability claims, negotiating and drafting contracts for land sales, purchases and leases, and advising on right-of-way rights and uses. Mr. Leggett has argued appeals before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Oregon State Supreme Court and the Courts of Appeals for Oregon and Washington. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Leggett worked for a major timber-land owner preparing and closing sales of surplus real property, negotiating road easement acquisitions and advising on state and federal regulations relating to land use.
