Lawyer Overview

Ronald B. Goodman, our Managing Partner, has been a member of our Firm's Litigation Department since 1987. His practice includes complex civil litigation, including enforcement of secured transactions and asset-based lending agreements. He is Chairman of the Firm's Litigation Department.

Mr. Goodman has extensive experience in the acquisition of petroleum transport terminals and assets pertaining thereto, as well as the regulatory requirements in connection with the trucking industry. He has acted as General Counsel to petroleum transport companies. Mr. Goodman is a member of the Panel of the American Arbitration Association and has served as an arbitrator and mediator in connection with numerous controversies.

Mr. Goodman has been a contributor to the New York Oil Heating Association newsletters and has further acted as a consultant to one of the leading insurance companies with regard to defense litigation in connection with petroleum transportation liabilities.

Mr. Goodman is admitted in the State of New York; U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, United States Court of Claims and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Goodman graduated from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York (B.A., 1968) and Brooklyn Law School (J.D., 1971). He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the American Bar Association.
