Established in 1986 as the first law firm in Louisiana dedicated primarily to the healthcare industry, Sullivan, Stolier & Resor (A Professional Law Corporation) is a New Orleans based practice serving physicians, hospitals, home health agencies, outpatient rehabilitation facilities and other healthcare providers and suppliers throughout Louisiana and the United States. The firm recently established "The Health Law Center" to promote its provision of a full range of commercial legal services with particular emphasis on the needs of the healthcare provider. Founded by Stephen M. Sullivan (former in-house counsel to a major New Orleans hospital) and Jack Mark Stolier (former counsel with the Office of General Counsel for the United States Department of Health and Human Services), the firm combines the talents and experience of attorneys who understand the unique dynamics of the highly regulated healthcare industry. Today, Sullivan, Stolier and Resor is staffed by eleven attorneys and eleven assistants with two attorneys of counsel.
