In 1978, Lynn Jinks moved back to his hometown of Union Springs, Alabama, to start the firm now known as Jinks, Daniel, & Crow, L.L.C. In 1989, Burt Smithart joined the firm but left in 1999 after being elected as the Circuit Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit of Alabama.

The firm works with attorneys and clients throughout the state representing plaintiffs and claimants in the following areas: Personal Injury/Products Liability, Consumer Fraud, Business Torts, Home Construction Breach of Warranty, Mobile Home Breach of Warranty, and Nursing Home Litigation.

The firm also provides estate planning services, probate and administration of estates, and real estate transaction services. In addition to representing consumers and businesses in tort actions, the firm represents the City of Union Springs and Bullock County Hospital.
