    Charles Dewey Cole, Jr. is a distinguished trial and appellate lawyer, scholar, instructor, lecturer and noted authority on the federal courts. He is a 1974 graduate of Columbia College at Columbia University and a 1979 graduate of St. John's University School of Law where he served as a member of the Law Review for two years, and its research editor for another year. He also holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the Graduate School of Library and Information Science of the University of Texas at Austin (1982), an LL.M. (General) from New York University School of Law (1988), an LL.M. (Trial Advocacy) from The James E. Beasely School of Law at Temple University (1999) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Litigation from Nottingham Law School of The Nottingham Trent University in Nottingham, England (2002). He served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Joe J. Fisher in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas (1979-1980) and to the Honorable Thomas M. Reavley of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in Austin, Texas (1981-1982). He has been a lecturer or instructor in numerous programs relating to trial advocacy and cognate subjects and since 1992, has been an instructor at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy at Notre Dame Law School. His articles on the law, law book reviews, and other scholarly contributions have appeared in print on scores of occasions. He has served as Revision Author of Jack B. Weinstein, et al., New York Civil Practice, and has contributed to such works as Black's Law Dictionary (7th ed. 1999) and Edward D. Re, Cases and Materials on Remedies (1982 and 2d ed. 1987). Forty-eight citations attest to his federal and state appellate work and there are 10 other major reported decisions of trial courts and 27 significant trial verdicts, mostly in the federal courts, to his name. He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, District of Columbia, Texas and, notably, he is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court in England and Wales as of August 15, 1995, and he has attained Higher Courts (Civil Proceedings) Qualification in England and Wales on March 11, 2002. He is also admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States and 17 other federal courts. Mr. Cole is listed, of long standing, in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, and will appear in Who's Who in the World (18th ed.) (forthcoming). Mr. Cole has handled many cases through trial verdict and appellate proceedings that involve substantial financial interests and matters of great legal and economic principle in the years he has spent with our firm starting in May of 1995.
