Attorney Patrick T. Burke is available to meet with clients in both our Goshen location in Orange County and our Suffern location in Rockland County.

PATRICK T. BURKE is a federal and state trial attorney, concentrating in commercial law, complex state and federal criminal defense (including white collar crime), and general litigation.

Patrick Burke has been practicing law since 1966. His extensive criminal defense background is a natural accompaniment to his municipal civil rights defense matters. He received his undergraduate and law school degree from Fordham University.

Mr. Burke has been criminal defense counsel in several federal high profile cases, including the "pizza connection" organized crime case and the Orange County asphalt producers antitrust case. He was a Special Attorney, U.S. Department of Justice, and former Deputy Attorney in Charge, Organized Crime Strike Force for the Southern District of New York. Patrick Burke was also a member of the Capital Defender Offices Screening Panel for the Second Department. Mr. Burke is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, United States District Court for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Military Appeals, and all state trial and appellate courts in New York. He is Chairman of the Grievance Committee of the 9th Judicial District and a member of the Rockland County Bar Association Grievance Committee, New York State Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, Rockland County Bar Association (Chairman, Federal Courts Committee), New York Council of Defense Lawyers and National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Burke is also a former Captain, U.S. Marine Corps (1966-1969), and is a retired Lt. Colonel, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.

Mr. Burke has represented and continues to represent, municipalities in civil rights defense matters, including Section 1983, Title VII, A.D.A. and New York Human Rights Law. He has also litigated complex personal injury matters.
