Charles Kertell's practice covers all aspects of intellectual property law and technology. His experience includes patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, false advertising, and unfair competition litigation in a wide range of fields — including mechanical equipment, electrical instruments, computer software/hardware, medical devices, and biotechnology. Charles's experience also includes prosecution of patent and trademark applications, interference proceedings, and opposition/cancellation actions before the United States Patent and Trademark Office as well as the procurement, protection, and enforcement of clients' intellectual property rights worldwide. In addition, Charles has been involved in several business litigation cases, including a widely reported palimony case, an arbitration concerning past and future royalty payments, and a negligence, breach of contract, and bad faith claim concerning an underground fuel tank failure.
