Mr. Plaza concentrates his practice in the areas of civil and criminal litigation. He regularly appears before the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York. He is a member of the New Jersey and New York Bars, and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey, the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York.

In the area of civil litigation, Mr. Plaza handles a wide variety of matters with an emphasis on commercial litigation, family law, and personal injury law.

In his commercial litigation practice, Mr. Plaza represents individuals, closely held businesses and large corporations in disputes relating to breach of contract, breach of warranty, Uniform Commercial Code, sale of business, shareholder/partner deadlock, business dissolution, business torts, consumer fraud, debt collection, land use and insurance coverage. Mr. Plaza also defends businesses against claims that they were negligent in the hiring, training or supervision of employees who have injured or caused damage to others.

In his family law practice, Mr. Plaza provides representation in matters involving divorce, paternity, child custody, child support, visitation and parenting time, and child removal.

In his personal injury practice, Mr. Plaza uses his prior experience representing insurance companies to protect the rights of individuals who have suffered substantial physical injuries due to the negligence or intentional misconduct of others. Mr. Plaza also handles wrongful death cases representing the families of people who have died as a result of their injuries.

In his criminal litigation practice, Mr. Plaza defends adults and juveniles who have been charged with crimes before the state and municipal courts of New Jersey. He handles cases ranging from disorderly persons offenses to more serious indictable offenses. Mr. Plaza also defends individuals who have been accused of domestic violence in Family Court proceedings.

Mr. Plaza received his law degree from Fordham University School of Law. He is a member of the American Association for Justice-New Jersey and the New Jersey State Bar Association. Mr. Plaza is also an appointed member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment for Bernards Township, New Jersey.
