Ms. Arnold has experience with both civil and criminal white collar matters, including civil RICO, fraud, and False Claims Act qui tam litigation, as well as internal corporate and government investigations, including for matters involving the pharmaceutical, securities, and defense industries. Ms. Arnold is the co-author of Corporate Crime After 2002: New Solutions to Corporate Crime or Déjà Vu? 40 AM. CRIM. L. REV. 219 (2003).
In complex commercial cases, Ms. Arnold has represented clients in federal and state courts throughout the U.S. for matters involving breach of contract, insurance, and other business disputes. Ms. Arnold recently assisted with a multi-million dollar fee petition that was resolved through a successful, record-breaking settlement.
Ms. Arnold’s pro bono work includes civil rights litigation, as well the successful settlement of a negligence dispute.
Professional Activities
Ms. Arnold is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the District of Columbia Women's Bar Association and the American Bar Association. During her academic career, Ms. Arnold held legal internships with Judge Marian Blank Horn on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the US Attorney's Office in the Domestic Violence Division and Commissioner Tristani's Office at the Federal Communications Commission. Ms. Arnold served as Co-President of Women's Law Association and is the author of an article entitled, Are the Perpetrators of Honor Killings Getting Away With Murder? Article 340 of the Jordanian Penal Code Analyzed Under the CEDAW, 40 AM. UNIV. INT'L L. REV. 1343 (2001).
