    Firm Profile:

Caudle & Spears was founded in 1973 and has built its reputation in the Charlotte area based on the quality of its legal work and service to its clients. The firm practices in both federal and state courts in counties throughout the Charlotte region, and serves a diverse group of corporate and individual clients in that same area. The business clients we presently serve range in size from large corporations to sole proprietors. We consider the representation of closely held corporations and family businesses to be one of our specialties.

Our attorneys are individuals of great capability, motivation and diversity of interests. We undertake to build long-term relationships with clients by striving for the highest standards of consistency, quality of service and professionalism. Many of our attorneys are experienced in more than one area of law, and this enables us to ensure that almost all of our clients' needs can be satisfied with the resources available in our offices in uptown Charlotte. We believe these qualities enable Caudle & Spears to offer each of our clients the highest quality representation, while at the same time providing greater personal attention, responsiveness and consistency than can be found at many larger firms.

Approximately one-half of our practice involves a wide range of civil litigation, including commercial, insurance defense, construction, employment, bankruptcy and personal injury matters. Many of our attorneys have extensive trial experience gained from trying cases in front of juries in the courtrooms in and around Charlotte. That experience allows us to offer our clients who are involved in lawsuits a benefit that many other firms cannot - representation by skilled trial lawyers, rather than by litigators who are rarely inside a courtroom.

The balance of our attorneys' practice is largely business oriented, including areas such as:

    • formation of corporations, LLCs and partnerships
    • trust and estate planning and estate administration
    • taxation of businesses, estates and individuals
    • environmental law and regulation
    • commercial real estate and leasing
