Anthony Insogna has almost 20 years of experience representing clients in intellectual property matters including patent litigation, patent prosecution, strategic counseling, technology transactions, and due diligence. He has prosecuted and enforced worldwide patent portfolios for some of the most successful therapeutics developed by pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. Anthony has significant experience with the patent and FDA laws under the Hatch-Waxman Act, and he regularly handles IP issues attendant to mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, strategic collaborations, licensing, and financing for life sciences companies.

Representative clients include Celgene, MedImmune, Sepracor, Isis Pharmaceuticals, Amgen, AstraZeneca, Amyris Biotechnologies, BioSphere Medical, PTC Therapeutics, Mitsui Ventures, Ambit Biosciences, as well as investment banks and other private equity firms. Anthony's experience includes patent portfolio development and management, patent infringement actions, oppositions, patent interferences, invalidation proceedings, and strategic transactions for products including Clofar®, Clarinex®, Embospheres®, HepaSpheres®, Tyzeka®, Ethyol®, Synagis®, Focalin®, Focalin XR®, Ritalin LA®, Relafen®, Pristiq®, Allegra®, Thalomid® and others, as well as many product candidates currently in clinical trials.

Anthony is Partner-in-Charge of the San Diego Office.
