Eric was admitted to practice law in Michigan in 1981, Florida in 1982. He became a member of the firm in 1982. Before joining the Firm, Eric was a law clerk for the Honorable Cornelia G. Kennedy, United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, 1981-1982.

Environmental Law and Litigation

Eric represents real estate developers and industrialists in the acquisition of contaminated real property and businesses impacted by environmental laws. In connection with that work, Eric has overseen the performance of baseline environmental assessments, subsurface investigations, compliance audits and off-site disposal analyses as part of the due diligence investigation prior to acquisition. Eric has been involved in numerous cost recovery actions both on behalf of plaintiff and defendant. Finally, Eric has been involved in a number of regulatory disputes and negotiations with regulatory agencies for, among other things, covenants not to sue.

Commercial Litigation

Eric's practice encompasses a broad range of commercial disputes including those involving the credit card processing industry with a particular emphasis on contract disputes, employee non-competition agreements, trade secrets, unfair competition and litigation concerning breaches of fiduciary duty.

Telecommunications Regulation and Litigation

Eric represents and advises one of the country's largest long-distance carriers in a variety of matters including contract disputes, non-competition agreements and disputes with competitors and customers. In addition, he has represented competitive local exchange carriers in regulatory and licensing matters.
