Law Firm Overview

In late 1993, Don Paule, Alisse Camazine and Tom Blumenthal, decided to set off on a new endeavor in their practice of law. They each came from a different legal discipline: Don focusing on corporate and estate planning work, Alisse concentrating on domestic relations, and Tom principally handling complex civil litigation. There were few mid-size St. Louis Firms that combined these disciplines together, particularly including domestic relations, so that the lawyers could use the experience of each discipline to enhance the service provided by the others. They set out to create a mid-size law Firm that has the feel of a boutique law Firm without the limitations of a single disciplinary focus. They brought together others they had worked with at other Firms with experience in real estate, intellectual property, insurance defense and tort litigation, and tax law.

Equally important in 1993, no middle or large size law Firm in St. Louis was headed by a woman, or had a woman in the name of the Firm. Even today, only a few middle or large size Firms in the Greater St. Louis Area other than Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal, P.C. boast a woman as one of the named members of the Firm. These commitments to diversity in practice areas and diversity in staff composition became a Firm of 15 experienced lawyers from diverse fields known as Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal, P.C., starting on January 1, 1994, and growing to the Firm it is today.
