Law Firm Overview

The firm has been practicing in downtown Orlando for over 20 years resulting in numerous long term working relationships with many area businesses involved in all aspects of the construction industry including banks, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, materialmen, architects and engineers.

Robert Worman, the firm's founder, has been actively involved in the construction law legislative process and has assisted in the drafting of legislative provisions to Florida's construction lien law. Mr. Worman served, under appointment by Governor Martinez, on the Construction Industry Licensing Board from 1987 to 1990 and has lectured extensively regarding Florida's Construction Lien law for numerous trade associations within the construction industry. Mr. Worman has served as general counsel for the construction section of the National Association of Credit Management of Florida, Inc., for over a decade.

Scott Sheffler has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1991 and practiced law as an associate of the Law Offices of Robert Worman from 1991-1994, practicing in the areas of business and construction litigation. Mr. Sheffler subsequently served as President and corporate counsel to his family's food and paper goods distribution business in central Florida from 1994-2001, during which time he maintained his status as an active member of the Florida Bar. In March 2002, Mr. Sheffler returned to private practice with the firm practicing in the areas of commercial and construction litigation, and in January 2006, became a member of the firm now known as Worman & Sheffler, P.A.
