Sayre Macneil has broad experience in trial practice and business matters, ranging back over twenty years. His legal career began in Oakland, CA with the firm of Donahue, Gallagher, Thomas & Woods, then general counsel for Lucky Stores, Inc., where he gained experience in corporate mergers and acquisitions, federal securities filings, ERISA and regulatory compliance.

Upon moving to Santa Barbara in 1986, Mr. Macneil continued in corporate practice with Seed, Mackall & Cole, handling business formation, banking, securities, secured transactions, and intellectual property matters.

In 1989, Mr. Macneil joined a civil litgation group at Rogers & Sheffield, gaining experience in personal injury defense for public entities, business litigation, commercial and real estate disputes, and writs and appeals.

For the past nine years, Mr. Macneil has maintained a solo practice, continuing to emphasize business and real estate litigation. He has recently expanded into the areas of construction law and real estate transactions and counseling.
