Lawyer Overview

Ron brings a varied experience to McLane, with a background in immigration, litigation, international trade consulting and academia. Ron began his career with the New Hampshire Public Defender Program, before establishing himself as one of the State's preeminent immigration lawyers. Ron has handled business, family and criminal immigration matters, taught at national training programs & litigated several cases before the U.S. Circuit Courts. Ron recently returned from nearly two years in his native Chile, where he arrived as a Fulbright Scholar to teach courses relating to Chilean legal reforms. While in Chile, Ron also worked as an international trade consultant after being appointed New Hampshire's Commercial Consul to Chile by Gov. John Lynch. Ron has advised a wide-range of businesses concerning the implications of the U.S.-Chile Free Trade Agreement, distribution agreements, contracts and intellectual property matters. He is fluent in Spanish, and speaks some French.
