Law Firm Overview

In 1956, Robert M. Weiss founded the firm with law school classmate, George Lorinczi.

The firm, then known as Lorinczi & Weiss, initially handled tax, probate and immigration matters. Shortly after its founding, the firm had a significant client base. This growth was in large part due to referrals and existing clients who had become successful in their own right and needed additional services. This growth created a need for more space, and in 1961, the firm moved from its first home at 152 West Wisconsin Avenue to 1212 West Wisconsin Avenue, across from Marquette University. The firm continued to increase its range of services and serve more clients. Again, a need for more space spurred the move to another building, this time to its present location at 700 North Water Street.

In 1974, George Lorinczi moved to Washington, D.C. and the firm became known as Weiss, Steuer, Berzowski & Kriger. From its roots in the preparation of tax returns and handling collection matters, the firm's work had expanded into tax planning, estate planning, corporate work, real estate and litigation.

In 1981, the firm changed its name to Weiss, Steuer, Berzowski, Brady & Donahue and in 1985, the firm adopted the name Weiss, Berzowski, Brady & Donahue.

In 1999, in response to corporate expansion out of Milwaukee and new development in the Lake Country area of the state, the firm opened its Delafield office. Located in the Delafield State Bank Building, the office provides our clients with a convenient, personal environment with all of the resources of our downtown location. The Delafield office is staffed by attorneys with close ties to the lake country area and runs as a full service firm providing services in areas ranging from estate and business succession planning to land use and zoning issues.

Today, as the firm celebrates its 50th anniversary, it is known as Weiss Berzowski Brady LLP and it is home to 25 attorneys, 3 paralegals and 21 administrative and staff members.
