Johnson, a physician-attorney, whom many consider to be the Dean of medical malpractice defense in Colorado, founded the firm in 1970 in response to a need in the medical community for medico-legal expertise.  Since then, Kresl & Johnson, P.C. has represented  physicians, healthcare providers, hospitals, surgery centers, and healthcare facilities in more than 1,000 malpractice cases since the surge of medical malpractice cases in the early 1980s.
