Litwack & Kernan, LLC

Summary
Law Firm Overview
Litwack & Kernan has been practicing law since 1984. Located in Bridgeton, the County Seat of Cumberland County, New Jersey, our practice actually extends far afield. We are a general practice with two major areas of practice -- matrimonial law and business law. Using modern, state-of-the -rt equipment, we are able to provide our services in a quick and efficient manner. We are acutely aware of our ethical obligations and the need to keep our clients informed as to everything going on in their matters.
Our first emphasis is on the purchase and sale of businesses, banking, creditor's rights, estate planning (wills, trusts, probate), taxation, real estate, bankruptcies, corporate, partnership and limited liability company laws, and general business and commercial matters. Those business transactions have taken us from Minnesota to Florida, from Iowa to Maryland, and from the Netherlands to New York City. The above area of practice is handled by Robert C. Litwack. Admitted to practice since 1979, Bob has an advanced Masters in Law degree in Taxation (LL.M.) and many years of experience in all types of commercial transactions.
The other major thrust of our practice is the matrimonial law practice of Carol J. Kernan. Certified as a Matrimonial Law Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey and accredited as a Divorce & Family Law Mediator by the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators, Carol's practice is almost entirely devoted to helping her clients resolve their family issues. Whether it concerns a divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, the equitable division of property, pre-marital agreements or adoptions, Carol is ready to bring her considerable skill, years of experience and education to your problem. Carol is backed up by her partner, Robert C. Litwack for tricky questions of taxation, pension law, real estate, corporate law and bankruptcy issues which frequently arise in matrimonial actions.
On occasion we have been known to delve into other areas based on our clients needs and our own inclinations and interests. Our goal is to only provide quality work in a timely fashion. If we don't believe we're the right attorneys to handle your matter, we will try to get you to an attorney who is.
In addition to our two major practice areas, Litwack & Kernan offers a unique legal "product." Using custom designed software we provide deeds for New Jersey real estate transactions on a same day basis. Our deeds are delivered execution ready by e-mail the same day they are ordered. The base price is only $75 for a deed, affidavit of title and residency certification when ordered by a title company or realtor. Powers of Attorney, Affidavits of Consideration and IRS Forms 1099 are also available for an additional $35. Designed to meet the needs of the expanding 'South Jersey' real estate practice, we quickly and efficiently generate the documents needed to close and get them where they are needed fast. Committed to service, we are making the tasks of real estate offices and title companies much easier while providing a valuable service to the sellers at a price that's almost unheard of.
