By utilizing California's commercial credit collection laws, which are the most effective laws in the United States, our clients can be in Court in 30 days in most cases, and in as little as 2 days under special circumstances.

Our clients include not only businesses, but individuals engaged in business. We represent not only California claimants, but clients from around the world doing business in California. We also collect sister state debts and judgments.

Working with our clients, we can place a sheriff upon the business premises and secure cash inventory and equipment while waiting for judgment. In this way, we assist our clients in obtaining pre-judgment relief as quickly as possible. This quick and decisive action often encourages early settlement in the client's favor.

The firm was founded by Ronald P. Slates in 1975, and provides our clients with legal services in commercial collections, creditors' rights, creditor bankruptcy, real estate and business litigation, as well as transactional expertise by Jerry Zack, our recently added "Of Counsel" attorney.

Ronald Slates' expertise has developed over the years in commercial collections, enforcement of pre-judgment rights and remedies, and real estate litigation. The firm has developed excellent resources for thorough, in-depth financial and background investigations to locate and trace assets nationally and internationally. This is complemented by our in-house investigations and process serving department.

Gerald L. Zack, Of Counsel, provides more than 20 years of knowledge and experience in real estate transactional and business law. Mr. Zack's clients include a wide range of real estate owners and investors of commercial property.

A. Edward Briseno, Of Counsel, assists the firm's clients in federal bankruptcy matters, with emphasis upon creditor representation, including prosecution of fraudulent non-dischargeable actions against debtors.

Diedra Bruder, principal paralegal, has been an integral part of the firms' practice for more than 20 years, and offers our clients her expertise in precisely and effectively drafting court documents for litigation, especially declarations, prejudgment writs of attachment and possession, and very effectively communicates with clients in order to obtain and process the necessary information.
