Lawyer Overview

Keith Hebeisen has been a trial attorney for 25 years, and he has tried many cases to verdict and received record amounts. Mr. Hebeisen is known for his no-nonsense style. He's a serious thinker and an aggressive trial attorney, confident in his knowledge of the area of law and command of each client's facts. He often deals with highly complex cases involving many defendants, and he has garnered the respect of both plaintiff and defense attorneys. Although Mr. Hebeisen concentrates his practice in the area of medical malpractice cases against doctors, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and health maintenance organizations, he also represents individuals in a wide variety of cases including those involving transportation, product liability and toxic tort. His results have been recognized by the Chicago Lawyer.

Mr. Hebeisen also finds time to give back to the profession in many ways. He served as President of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association from 2005 to 2006. He is also very active in several bar associations and in political activities directed to preserving the right to trial by jury.

Mr. Hebeisen was the Editor of the Illinois Bar Journal for two years and enjoys using his strong writing skills as the author of a large number of publications. He has edited ITLA's Medical Malpractice Trial Notebook since 1992. Mr. Hebeisen has planned and moderated numerous continuing legal education programs, including the ITLA Medical Malpractice Seminar, a widely attended all-day program held annually in Chicago. He has presented numerous lectures at seminars for professional associations on topics from handling the defendant's expert to trends in health care law, an active area in the new millennium. As a partner at Clifford Law Offices, Keith Hebeisen is a highly respected leader in the law and serves as an example of excellence to the profession.
