David Deck has more than 20 years of experience in securitization, leveraged lease financing, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and private equity transactions, both in New York and in Tokyo.
Among recent representative matters, David represented Korea Expressway Corporation in connection with the restructuring of the equity defeasance in its QTE lease transaction with SMBC and, more recently, Mitsubishi UFJ Leasing and Finance in a $200 million U.K. tax lease with Macquarie Bank.
Prior to joining Jones Day, David worked on a series of CDOs for Merrill Lynch and represented Credit Suisse in Japan's first CMBS securitization offered in the U.S.
David also represented Rabobank in its $1 billion liquidity facility for Morgan Stanley Japan.
David is recognized as a leading individual in Japan in both banking and finance and securitization by the 2009 edition of Asia Pacific Legal 500.
