Lawyer Overview

Mr. Shepard is the Managing Shareholder of the Litigation and Real EstateDepartments, as well as Managing Attorney of the firm. He concentrates hispractice in all areas of civil litigation including business litigation,contract litigation, real estate litigation, municipal court litigation andpersonal injury and matrimonial matters. In addition, to arguing beforethe Supreme Court of New Jersey, Mr. Shepard appears before and in NewJersey Superior Court (Chancery and Law Divisions), New Jersey Superior Court(Appellate Division) as well as FederalCourt.

Mr. Shepard is also the Managing Attorney of the Firm's Real EstateDepartment and Supervising Attorney of our Commercial Real Estate PracticeArea, inclusive of purchase, sale, refinance, mortgage closing andleases. Commercial transactions regularly include transactions withsignificant financial implications. For example, he has acted as realestate counsel for a borrower in connection with a multi-million dollar assistedliving project financed by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.

He is an active member of the community, serving as a Municipal Court Judgefor Parsippany-Troy Hills during 1995. Mr. Shepard has also been an adjunctfaculty member of Morris County College lecturing in the area of Business Law,and is currently a member of the Boonton Township Board of Adjustment

Mr. Shepard was Law Secretary to Honorable Paul Bangiola, Superior Court from1983 to 1984. During law school he was the recipient of The AmericanJurisprudence Prize for Wills. He is a member of the Association of TrialLawyers of America as well as the Morris County, New Jersey State and AmericanBar Associations.
