Lawyer Overview
Carroll Dorgan's practice is concentrated in international commercial arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution relating to complex long-term contracts and construction contracts. An American national, Carroll has practiced law in Paris since 1991. He has served as counsel in international arbitrations conducted under the Rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Arbitral Centre of the Federal Economic Chamber of Vienna, and the Stockholm Arbitration Institute as well as ad hoc arbitrations under UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. He has also assisted in the submission of claims before the United Nations Claims Commission in Geneva. These arbitrations have involved disputes arising from international construction projects, joint ventures, oil and gas projects, insurance contracts, distribution and licensing agreements, and sales of goods.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Carroll worked at a major U.S. firm from 1991 to 1999.
