KUHN, DOYLE, & KUHN, P.C., is an established Austin firm specializing in the representation of Central Texans in matters involving serious personal injuries or death, criminal cases and elder law.

Kuhn, Doyle and Kuhn, P.C. was founded by Bob Kuhn in 1970 after he had served as Travis County's only Justice of the Peace.  Since that time it has grown to 11 employees, a size which allows individual attention to each client's case while providing the support staff and resources necessary for handling complex litigation.  The firm has elected to limit its practice to a few areas to ensure excellence and quality service to all of its clients.  The practice focuses on injury and death claims, elder law and criminal defense.  We also represent established clients in family law, real estate, probate, contract and bankruptcy matters.  All attorneys are active in the wider community through charitable organizations, volunteer activities, fund raising events, and efforts to promote the health and well being of those in Central Texas area.

Kuhn, Doyle and Kuhn, P.C. offices at the corner of West Eight and Nueces Streets, in Gilfillan Place, which was designed by Austin architect Charles H. Page, the first licensed architect in Texas.  The home was built in 1905 for William L. Gilfillan, one of the founders and directors of the Austin National Bank and was restored as Gilfillan Place in 1980 by Anne Cofrin Baldeschwiler.

The inside of the three story historic building represents several popular decorative styles of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The large conference room, formerly the dining room, has an ambience typical of late 19th century houses with a beamed ceiling and paneled wall fitted with closets and built-in cabinets with beveled glass doors.

Upstairs are four large offices and the firm's library.  Each office has a fireplace for burning coal, the original heating system in the house.  The third floor has been revised with a large open area, and a commercial kitchen has been installed on the first floor.

The floorings and trim are oak and pine and the seven mantels are of various woods ranging from birds-eye maple to oak.

The building was recorded as a Texas Historic Landmark in 1981 and was entered in the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.  It is also a designated Austin landmark.
