Lawyer Overview
Jeremy Cole focuses his practice on complex litigation and has trial experience in state and federal courts. He has litigated a broad range of matters relating to Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, health care fraud, consumer fraud, insurance fraud, state and federal False Claims Acts, contract disputes, products liability, declaratory judgments, NCAA student-athlete eligibility, and state attorney general actions.
For several years, Jeremy has represented Abbott Laboratories in lawsuits around the country dealing with drug price reporting and the reimbursement of health care providers under the Medicare and Medicaid programs. He has counseled pharmaceutical companies in governmental investigations and defended a complex, white-collar criminal prosecution in federal court involving charges of mail fraud, insurance fraud, and racketeering. Jeremy has international litigation experience as well, having appeared before a French tribunal in Paris and obtained discovery in Europe through the Hague Evidence Convention.
Jeremy was recently named as one of 30 "Future Stars" of Chicago litigation by Benchmark Litigation in its "Definitive Guide to America's Leading Litigation Firms & Attorneys." Jeremy is a member of the Trial Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and he devotes a substantial amount of time to pro bono work.
