Lawyer Overview

Jeremy focuses his practice on complex litigation. He has trial experience in state and federal courts. He has litigated a broad range of matters relating to health care fraud, consumer fraud, insurance fraud, contract disputes, products liability, declaratory judgments, and state attorney general actions. For several years, Jeremy has represented pharmaceutical companies in lawsuits around the country dealing with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. He also helped defend against a complex, white-collar criminal prosecution in federal court involving charges of mail fraud, insurance fraud, and racketeering. In addition, he gave the opening statement in a damages trial in Florida state court in which the jury returned a $19 million verdict for the Firm's client. Jeremy has counseled clients in governmental investigations regarding health care and antitrust issues. He has international litigation experience as well, having successfully obtained discovery in Europe through the Hague Evidence Convention.

Jeremy devotes a substantial amount of time to pro bono work. He helped obtain political asylum for a Colombian woman who had been persecuted by guerilla groups. Jeremy is also active in the Chicago community, serving on the board of directors of a nonprofit organization that promotes reading to young children in Chicago's public schools.

He is a member of the Trial Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
