Kevin F. Rennie, Attorney at Law

Summary
Law Firm Overview
I graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1983. I worked for the Hartford firm of Katz & Seligman concentrating on litigation and real estate and a South Windsor lawyer with a general practice before opening my office in early 1987. My practice currently consists of real estate, litigation, wills and estates, and criminal law. I have been active in South Windsor community affairs for many years. From 1989 to 1995, I served as a member of the House of Representatives. From 1995 to 1997 I was a member of the State Senate where I served as Co-Chair of the Banks Committee. During my 8 years in the legislature I was a member, at various times, of the Judiciary Committee, Transportation Committee, Finance Revenue and Bonding Committee, and Energy and Technology Committee. I have done a considerable amount of pro bono legal work. In 1998, I was named the Connecticut Bar Association's Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year for my pro bono representation of the family of a local murder victim in their battle to keep the murderer from gaining release from a state mental institution. I am now also a political columnist for the Hartford Courant's Sunday Magazine, Northeast.
