Lawyer Overview

Steve Hall advises both lenders and borrowers in a variety of commercial finance transactions. His practice spans the array of senior debt financings, including both secured and unsecured, single bank and syndicated, multinational, and multicurrency. He has structured leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, and ABL loans, with a recent focus on real estate financings. Steve also represents clients in workouts and restructurings, with a specific emphasis on debtor-in-possession and exit financings.

Steve's recent transactions include representing lenders such as JPMorgan Chase, PNC Bank/National City, and U.S. Bank in an assortment of syndicated credit facilities as well as assisting Prime Group Realty Trust, ProQuest Company, and Tarragon Corporation as borrowers under their credit facilities. He has worked with real estate investment funds sponsored by CB Richard Ellis, Highcross Strategic Partners, and LaSalle Investment Management in negotiating and closing subscription-based credit facilities. He also advises clients in connection with issues arising under the Uniform Commercial Code.

Steve is a member of the ABA (Business Law Section) and The Chicago Bar Association.
