Lawyer Overview
Danielle Conway-Jones is Of Counsel to the firm's Labor & Employment Law Section, developing concentrations in intellectual property and government contracts. She is a full time, tenure-track professor of law at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, William S. Richardson School of Law in Honolulu, Hawaii. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Hawaii School of Law, Professor Conway-Jones taught various courses at both the Georgetown University Law Center and the University of Memphis School of Law.
Professor Conway-Jones has significant experience in government contracting and rights in technical data, having served on active duty as a United States Army Judge Advocate in the Chief Counsel's Honors Program, Headquarters United States Army Corps of Engineers before embarking on a law teaching career. She continues to serve in the United States Army Reserve as an Instructor at the Judge Advocate General's School in Charlottesville, Virginia teaching fiscal law and government contract law. Examples of her work include:
Protest Litigation: Defending agency procurement actions before the General Accounting Office and the General Services Board of Contract Appeals. Handling protest litigation on issues, including the International Balance of Payments Program, the Buy American Act, Department of Defense Set-Aside Programs and Policies, Department of Defense A-76 Contracting-Out Policies, and Miller Act rights and remedies.
Intellectual Property: Teaching, presenting, and advising United States and foreign judges and lawyers, clients, and students about issues in the legal areas of patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade dress, and trade secret.
E-Commerce & Internet Law: Providing continuing legal education to United States and foreign judges and lawyers on issues, including personal jurisdiction, enforcement of shrink-wrap and click-wrap agreements, and Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer transactions over the Internet.
