Law Firm Overview

Mr. Gary D. Stevens, born in Fredonia, Kansas, was raised on a ranch in the San Gabriel Valley.

His favorite and regular childhood pastime, reading, suggested the intellectual development that he later confirmed in his educational and business achievements.

After graduation from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, he served with distinction as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Captain.

He raised three daughters in Fullerton, California, while building his career in business management. During this time, he received his Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from USC.

His experience in the business world stimulated his interest in both the philosophy and the practical application of the law, especially as it relates to business management.

Mr. Stevens received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1974 while still involved in business management. Thereafter, he took and passed the bar in 1975, and began practicing law part-time, emphasizing corporate/labor/contract matters, while continuing his General Manager responsibilities.

In late 1978, Mr. Stevens left a successful business career to pursue the practice of law exclusively, emphasizing family law.

Mr. Stevens is currently certified to practice as a Family Law Specialist, a title conferred by the State Bar of California to those who demonstrate special abilities and experience, and who meet specific continuing educational requirements.

Mr. Stevens presently resides in Laguna Beach, California.
