Derek J. Emge graduated from San Diego School of Law in 1992 where he was a member of the San Diego School of Law Law Review.  He began his practice in a defense litigation firm where he averaged two trials per year.  In 1999, Mr. Emge ran a start-up Internet website designed for use by litigation counsel nationwide.  In 2000, he founded Emge & Associates where he has been instrumental in California class action litigation.  Representing employees and consumers, Emge & Associates has recovered tens of millions of dollars on behalf of its clients through class action cases and complex individual actions.  Mr. Emge's experience in handling complex litigation on a contingency basis has expanded to the representation of bankruptcy trustees and creditors committees on a contingency basis.
